XLAB: International Science Camp 2019 (ISC)

XLAB is an experimental laboratory for young people and bridges the gap between high school and university. XLAB offers experimental courses in all natural sciences in English and in German all year round. XLAB is situated on the science campus of the University of Goettingen. XLAB collaborates with scientific institutes of the university, the research institutes of the Max Planck Society, the Laser Laboratory and the German Primate Center. XLAB has an active alumni association which enables networking of all former participants. Every summer since 2003 XLAB has organized International Science Camps. Since then, more than 730 students from 47 different nations came to Goettingen. The program is particularly attractive for high school students, undergraduate college and university students being 17 to 22 years of age. Three weeks of intensive experimental laboratory work in biology, neurophysiology, chemistry, physics and ecology are rounded off by a social and cultural program. All courses are designed and supervised by scientists of XLAB, the University of Goettingen and affiliated research organizations. Students should be highly interested in research and show a substantial knowledge in science. The International Science Camp 2019 will take place from August 3rd – 25th. In 2019 we will accept 36 students for the camp and usually not more than 4-6 students from each country.
